If your pet is not yet spay/neutered you may “foster to adopt". We are legally not allowed to finalize an adoption until the pet is spay/neutered. You will need to Esign a Foster Agreement. It will be your responsibility to bring your foster pet to their surgery appointment. If you miss your pets surgery appointment you will need to arrange another surgery date and maybe liable to cover the cost.
Please Note: Cats need a carrier to be transported.
Wait! I don’t want to take my pet home just yet but I do want to adopt.
Once an animal has been adopted, it’s crucial for them to transition to their forever home. Holding onto pets after they've found a new family means we can’t take in another animal that might be in immediate danger. The more foster homes we have available, the more animals we can rescue from shelters that are overcrowded and forced to euthanize due to lack of space. Each adoption not only saves one life but opens the door for us to save another.
We do however can offer you “boarding” solutions should the foster be open to this arrangement. Continued fostering after the pet has been adopted is a tax deductible donation. The requested amount per night is $40 ($10/night for each additional cat). If you would like to adopt you will need to complete the steps 1 through 7 of the adoption process. Then we can discuss the time and date of pick up. The “boarding” start date will be once the adoption process is complete to the day you pick up your new family member.
Adoption Agreement Addendum
[Spay/Neuter Contract]
We realize sometimes things come up and you may not be able to bring your foster pet to the surgery date set. If this happens to be the case then the next step would be to complete the adoption process and sign the Spay/Neuter Adoption Agreement Addendum. If you are unable to bring your foster pet to the assigned surgery date/time and are not able to be present for transportation assistance then you will be responsible for rescheduling your surgery date at a vet of your choosing but you will be liable for all costs.
At the time of Signature Full adoption donation and/or remaining balance is due. Along with the Adoption Agreement. This will release liability and end your Foster to Adopt term. $500 deposit will be held until proof of sterilization is submitted.
