  • Your pet will be spayed/neutered & microchipped.

Dog Vaccines: Current- up to date

Cat Vaccines: at least 1 FVRCP Vaccine

  • Many wonder why we have adoption fees at all. Running a responsible rescue group is very expensive.

Spay & neuter: Even with discounted services through our partner vets, spay & neuter costs still account for 100% of the fee and that does not include any additional care.

Everything else: Transporting animals long distances from high kill shelters, vaccinations, dewormer, food and supplies, medications, grooming for severely matted cases, etc.

Emergency vet care: The biggest part of our budget. Some of our animals will come down with life-threatening illnesses such as parvo and pneumonia, which require hospitalization and result in super-sized vet bills. Adoption fees help a bit, but we have to mainly rely on donations.

  • Babies: Young puppies and kittens are cute, fluffy, and irresistible. We call their slightly higher adoption fee a "cute tax" that helps subsidize the costs of the older animals and long term tenants.

Doodles: Although we think every mutt is perfect most believe these to be the holy grail. We get 100s of applications for Doodles . We call their higher adoption donations a “demand tax” that helps to cover the costs of all the older animals and medical expenses.

Older & wiser: Adult dogs are the absolute best in our book, but those darn puppies always steal the spotlight. So, we've give these easy, wonderful, amazing dogs a lower fee to help move the spotlight towards them.
